In addition to the talents of the Board of Directors
and Advisory Council, the TXSART program is led by Elizabeth Serca.
Elizabeth hails from
the Sunshine State where she was previously employed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Division
of Animal Industry as the Florida SART Coordinator. In August 2006, she joined the Texas Veterinary Medical Association to
lead the newly formed TXSART. A two-time graduate of the University of Florida, and forever Gator, she holds a Bachelor of
Science in Environmental Management in Agriculture and a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering and minors in Agricultural
Law and Agricultural Education.
Liz is a member of the National Emergency Management Association,
the Emergency Management Association of Texas and the University of Florida Alumni Association. In addition, she actively
supports the development of the National Alliance of State Animal and Agricultural Emergency Programs as a a director on their
interim board.
