Who are the people behind TXSART?

Board of Directors

 

The TXSART Board of Directors is comprised of eight members who bring special knowledge, expertise, and talent towards the program's governance. The Board's composition is based on several industry areas including livestock and poultry, companion animal, animal welfare, government/regulatory, and a few open seats for those hard-to-classify areas of interest and importance.

The Directors are Janie Carpenter, DVM (Chair), Jay Sabatucci, Pam Burney, Dawn Blackmar, DVM, Bob Hillman, DVM, Morgan Farnell, PhD, Debra Parsons-Drake, and Bradford Goodwin, DVM.

Advisory Council

 

In considering emergency management issues for animals, one quickly realizes the diversity of organizations that have perspective, talent, and resources to contribute to TXSART's mission.

The membership of the Advisory Council ranges from the state animal health regulatory agency (and lead agency for animal issues in the state of Texas) to nonprofit animal humane and professional membership organizations - all having a role to play with animal issues in disasters.
